An invitational bumper sticker on the back of a moving car was the beginning of Tam’s relationship with Jesus.
Tammy A. Phillips is the Director at the Southeast White House, a House on the Hill for All People where the name of Jesus Christ is enthusiastically lifted up. Since 2010, Tam has been a member of the 5 AM Bible Study Ministry, Inc., serving as part of the leadership for several years. Tam, along with seven others, formed Simon’s Branch, Inc., a mission sending agency in 2002. Through SBI, she has participated in several short-term mission trips to South Africa and was a full-time missionary to Jamaica for more than four years.
Tam’s association with Prison Fellowship, an international prison ministry, was for almost thirty years. Her service included managing volunteer programs and coordinating conferences, community services projects, and Angel Tree, a Christmas program for the children of prisoners. Tam has conducted dozens of seminars and Bible studies in prisons and workshops for volunteers.
Tam is developing a devotional and website called Tam’s Tidbits, a compilation of her experiences in ministry since 1980. She is a playwright, actress, director, workshop facilitator and bible study teacher. Tam has contributed to the Anointed Women in Christ and The Daughters of the King blogs.
